Gold Detector Prices in Pakistan 2026: What Each Tier Actually Buys

Real PKR prices across every gold detector we stock, what changes as you move up each tier, and the point where paying more stops improving your results.

A pile of rough gold nuggets on a dark blue wooden surface.

Gold detectors in Pakistan run from about PKR 170,000 to nearly PKR 6,000,000, and the gap between those two numbers is not simply "more depth". Each tier solves a different problem, and a machine three times the price can easily be the wrong tool for your ground. This guide sets out what each price band genuinely buys, using the current prices from our own catalogue.

Entry gold VLF — around PKR 170,000

The Nokta Gold Finder 2000 at PKR 169,580 is the realistic entry point for a machine built specifically for gold rather than adapted to it. It runs at 61 kHz, which is a high frequency chosen deliberately: high frequency is what makes a detector sensitive to small, low-conductivity targets like fine nuggets and micro-jewellery.

What you get at this tier is a fully automatic, turn-on-and-go machine that will find small gold near the surface and teach you the fundamentals. What you do not get is depth in heavily mineralised ground. For a first gold machine, on river gravels and mild soil, it is a sound buy that most beginners will not outgrow quickly.

Multi-system gold — PKR 495,000 to 995,000

GoldXtra's TGX line occupies this band across four models, and the progression is straightforward: TGX Lite at PKR 495,000 (7–8 ft rated), TGX Pro at PKR 618,000 (8–9 ft), TGX Special Edition at PKR 750,000 (9 ft, supplied with two coils and a Bluetooth pinpointer), and TGX Pro Plus at PKR 995,000 (10–12 ft).

These combine several detection systems in one unit — gold, general metal and void detection — which is why they are popular with buyers who want one machine to cover several jobs. The Minelab Gold Monster 1000 also sits here at PKR 995,000, but it is a different proposition: a 45 kHz automatic VLF that is exceptionally good at small gold and makes no attempt to be a general-purpose machine.

Professional pulse induction — PKR 3,280,000 and up

This is where the price jumps sharply, and the jump buys one specific capability: performance in ground that defeats VLF entirely. The Minelab GPZ 7000 at PKR 3,280,000, the GPX 6000 at PKR 3,795,000 and the GPZ 8000 at PKR 5,890,000 are built for heavily mineralised gold country where a lesser machine spends its time reacting to the soil rather than the target.

Be clear about what these machines are not. They are not four times deeper than a TGX. They are not better at coins or relics — they are considerably worse at telling you what a target is. They earn their price by remaining stable and sensitive in ground where cheaper technology stops working, and if your ground is not like that, you are paying for a capability you will never use.

The honest advice about moving up a tier

The largest single improvement most buyers can make is not a more expensive detector. It is a second coil for the machine they already own, and time spent learning to ground balance it properly. A correctly balanced mid-tier machine with the right coil will out-find a badly set up flagship every time, and the difference in cost is an order of magnitude.

Move up a tier when you can name the specific thing your current machine cannot do — "it will not settle in the ground at Chagai", "it cannot separate targets in this trashy site". If you cannot name it, the money is better spent on coils, a pinpointer and field time.
